In 2023, Electrical Safety First bought a Keilini-branded heater through an online advert. It came with an EU mains plug and an unfused travel adaptor, which the charity called unsuitable for UK sockets and a fire risk.
Around the same time, the ASA upheld complaints against Keilini Technology International Co Ltd. Its adverts claimed cheap, highly efficient heating that could warm a room in 60 seconds, and these claims were found to be misleading.
We don't know if those findings apply to the Heater Pro, its current manufacturer or this seller. The "Pro" name doesn't prove that any problem has been fixed. Before ordering, ask the seller:
- Does it come with a fused UK three-pin plug, not an adaptor?
- What is the rated wattage, and is there a UKCA or CE marking with a named UK or EU responsible person?
- Can you see the user manual and safety warnings?
